This album proves that Uncle Fester has an immense amount of talent and is more
than your average local cover band.
This unique
blend of guitar, bass, and drums with solid vocals shows the creativity well
known to many Long Islanders. This disc has many excellent songs, combining
blues and classic rock with a heavy metal feel at times. "Express Drive
South" has a taste of Ted Nugent, featuring a hard guitar sound; it
delivers the feel of a rough day on the Long Island Expressway. This
instrumental was exciting and a very vivid expression of the imagination. The
drums and bass were used subtly, keeping a steady rhythm, making way for the
lead guitar to take over fast and furiously.
"Destiny" is very heavy with screaming tormented vocals, a heavy metal sound of the 1970s, and sci fi/horror film overtones – very melodramatic. This power ballad is actually a song from the archives during the 1980s. A driving riff throughout the song enhances its final result. "And The Fish Will Swim" merges a likable upbeat tempo with a very catchy, dreamlike story. According to the band, this song "won t#1 Pop Tune on a website, while "Wait Till I Get Home" had been the #1 blues tune of the week.
